Bill completed his undergraduate studies at Long Island University and graduated magna cum laude from the LIU/Brooklyn Hospital Physician Assistant Program. He then trained at Beth Israel Medical Center, where he served full-time in emergency medicine and part-time in orthopaedics.
In December 2002, Mr. Thomson joined Garden State Orthopaedic Associates. Working with the practice surgeons has helped fine-tune his expertise in orthopaedics. On a daily basis, Mr. Thomson works hand in hand with all of the surgeons and his fellow physician assistants to provide the highest level of care to his patients.
Mr. Thomson feels strongly that education is a very important part of his practice. He is directly involved with training second-year PA students from Cornell University and other PA programs. He is actively involved in The Valley Hospital PA shadowing program, which allows high school and college students to get involved early in observing PAs in a clinical setting. Mr. Thomson works diligently to guide students who hope to pursue a future in medicine.
