Meet Noah Kirschner, M.D.

 

Dr. Noah Kirschner is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, with expertise in arthroscopic and open treatment of shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee conditions. He completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, where he provided team coverage for the New York Jets, along with several local high school football and hockey programs.

Dr. Kirschner earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital, one of the nation’s top orthopedic programs. During residency, Dr. Kirschner was recognized with multiple awards for research, leadership, and altruism including the Laskin Research Award, Nate Bondi Resident Leadership Award and selection for the American Orthopaedic Association’s Resident Leadership Forum.

He has authored over 15 peer-reviewed publications and presented his research at national meetings including AAOS, AOFAS, MSIS, and PRiSM, with work spanning joint preservation, sports injuries, arthroscopy, and total joint arthroplasty. Dr. Kirschner has also served in team physician roles for collegiate programs including NYU and LIU Basketball, and actively contributes to the advancement of arthroscopy and biologic treatment strategies.

His clinical interests include rotator cuff and labral injuries, ACL and multi-ligament knee reconstruction, meniscus and cartilage preservation, shoulder arthroplasty, hip arthroscopy, and sports-related tendon injuries. Dr. Kirschner integrates the latest techniques and evidence-based practices to return his patients to their optimal level of function.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Kirschner enjoys basketball, softball, and spending time with his wife and daughters. A lifelong fan of the Mets, Jets, Knicks, and Rangers, he brings his passion for sports into every aspect of his orthopedic practice.
